We provide surveying services for 3-dimensional topographic computer modeling and contour modeling for the planning and design of bridge installation sites, home site developments, various residential and industrial construction sites, road and driveway design, retaining wall design, septic system planning, etc. Our survey models can incorporate and blend with lot boundaries, riparian area boundaries, utilities, AutoCAD and other computer drafting models and data. Typical uses are blending an existing home construction plan and footing layout plan into a terrain model in order to plan and cost excavations, home orientation on a site, match driveway grades and elevations to home and existing terrain, plan and design retaining walls and bridges into a site, etc. Topographic surveying and modeling is cheaper than most clients expect, and can save thousands of dollars in construction time, excavation costs, and earthwork during construction. We can also provide construction layout surveying for excavations, footing placement, house and driveway stakeout and site planning, etc.

We provide complete surveying services for bridge planning, design, and construction/installation. We can also provide “as-build” surveys and Professional Engineering sign-off on existing structures, modification of bridge structures, and on the relocation of bridges in forestry and mining road applications.

We can improve and expand fish habitat in your local stream systems by replacing old culverts that block access for fish. Once impassable culverts are replaced with a bridge or open bottom structure, fish habitat is expanded and small stream networks become accessible to fish.  We regularly work in and around fish bearing stream and utilize best management practices to ensure minimal impact to fish and fish habitat during and after construction.

We can custom design and build a timber or log foot bridge for your needs. Sample projects include bridges over creeks and ponds, golf course bridges, landscape features, stream crossings for small equipment, etc. Designs and pricing can vary depending on load and span requirements, but can start from a little as $1500. We also deliver and install our bridges, and provide paper documentation of safe installation completion, signed off by a Professional Engineer.

In most municipalities and jurisdictions, earth retaining walls with a height over 4 feet or 1.2 meters require a design and construction sign-off from a Professional Engineer. We provide retaining wall design, construction, and sign-off, as a whole package resulting in cost savings to clients. Generally, a topographic survey is the first step in the design and planning phase. Several wall material options are available, and these are presented to the client with their associated costs in order to match the right wall options available to the customer’s needs and budget. We have experience designing and building with a wide variety of materials. We believe it is best to let the client pick the materials based on their budget and preference for esthetics, and we will design the wall to be a permanent, safe, and cost effective solution to their needs. We regularly design and build walls over 15 feet, utilizing a variety of tie back systems ranging from geogrids to soil and rock anchors. Often engineering solutions and experience provided at the beginning of the project results in significant cost savings realized during the construction phase of the retaining wall project.

We provide drafting services to compliment our engineering, design, and construction work. We can also provide computer drafting and an independent service. Our most commonly used software is AutoCAD, but other compatible systems are available.  Call us to discuss your needs.
