Boxwood Forest Products and Services Ltd. was established in 2005 to provide engineering, forestry, and complimentary heavy equipment services to a variety of clients. Additionally, we supply specialty solid wood products such as bridge decking, posts, beams, custom cut timbers, trim and flooring. We are based out of Salmon Arm, located in the southern central part of British Columbia and complete contract assignments in all regions of the province. We specialize in bridge, retaining wall, and road  design & build projects. Professional Engineering, Professional Forestry, and Technical Services are available from the following key employees:

  • Chris Cole, RPF, P.Eng – Professional Engineer and Registered Professional Forester, UBC graduate and Owner/President of Boxwood Forest Products and Services Ltd. Chris is regularly involved in field and office engineering projects, and believes in taking a hands-on approach to bond engineering theory and experience with practical and efficient field construction, resulting in time and cost savings for clients.

  • Ross Hyam, RPF, EIT -  Professional Engineer-In-Training and Registered Professional Forester, UBC graduate.  Ross has considerable forest management experience in administering logging and road construction programs for a major licensee, including experience working with First Nations. Ross assists in engineering projects such as, bridge site plans and designs, road and bridge inspections, and retaining wall design.

  • Glenn Skinner – Construction supervisor and heavy equipment operator with Class 1 Tractor/Trailer Driver License. Glenn also has over 23 years experience in a wide variety of metal fabrication and shop welding. Glenn is experienced in general excavator operation, earthworks, and bridge building. Glenn is enthusiastic about clients project work, is extremely reliable and punctual, enjoys working in the outdoors. Glenn is always ready to help clients with their projects.

  • Michael Larner - Experienced wood working specialist with over 15 years of experience. Past project work has included Residential and Commercial rock walls, hand framing and timber framing. Michael is currently building our "Custom Built Sauna's" for the general public and Custom Home Builders.  Michael has a wide range of skills including drafting, surveying and various machine operating experience.  With an aptitude for "thinking outside the box" Michael is a great fit for Boxwood Forest Products.

  • Susan Christian – Accounting & Administration – Susan has over 11 years of experience in accounting.  Susan is a 1995 graduate of Bow Valley College in Calgary Alberta.  Susan has been self-employed since 2005 and is currently a part-time student at Okanagan College enrolled in the Business Diploma program updating her knowledge of marketing and management skills.

  • Erin Pomeroy – Okanagan College Engineering Student. Erin is assisting with Field Surveying and Computer Drafting, and a variety of Engineering related tasks for the summer and fall 2011 terms. Erin enjoys working in the outdoors and helping customers with their surveying and computer drafting needs.

  • Construction and Seasonal Labours – Available as required for certain project work.  

We frequently work with other professional and technical peers in the consulting and construction fields to deliver a wider range of services when requested, and to develop specialized teams for certain project work.
